Bibliography of translations: UNESCO Index Translationum

The Index Translationum is a list of books translated in the world, i.e. an international bibliography of translations. The Index Translationum was created in 1932. The database contains cumulative bibliographical information on books translated and published in about one hundred of the UNESCO Member States since 1979 and totals more than 1.800,000 entries in all disciplines: literature, social and human sciences, natural and exact sciences, art, history and so forth. It is planned to update the work every four months.

Conversion tables / unit conversion online

Here you can make online conversions (e.g. metric conversions) for many measurement systems. The site provides conversion tables for both common (U.S., metric, etc.) and quite exotic units like Ancient Greek and Roman. You can also ask your questions and discuss how to convert units in the Units Conversion Forum.

Electropedia (also known as the "IEV Online") is the world's most comprehensive online electrical and electronic terminology database containing more than 20 000 terms and definitions in English and French organized by subject area, with equivalent terms in various other languages: Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Swedish (coverage varies by subject area).

EU DGT Multilingual Translation Memory

As of November 2007, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) made publicly accessible its multilingual Translation Memory for the Acquis Communautaire (the body of EU law) - a collection of parallel texts (texts and their translation, also referred to as bi-texts) in 22 languages. This is a page for technical users, where you will find a summary of this unique resource and instructions on where to download it and how to produce bilingual aligned corpora for any of the 231 language pairs (462 language pair directions).
